Day 7 Update from Jeff

This has been the longest day of touring yet (and shortest update)- we went to the Terracotta Warriors museum.

We had our regular breakfast buffet but this morning the egg station guy was making Wonton soup on demand. The best ever - spicy. Then we got on the bus and went to the city wall. There is a huge wall surrounding the center of the city. Then we went out through the country to the Warriors place. Very interesting drive past terraced farm mountains and scenery outside cities in China.

Stopped for lunch and a really nice noodle place, and there was a silk factory next door where we were shown all about silk then had an opportunity to buy it. We were all really tired from all the walking and were ready to get back to our rooms for a nap. Ty had other plans, even though he fell asleep on the bus, when we got back to our rooms he wasn't tired. Until it was time to go to dinner. Then he fell asleep again right in the middle of doing something, this time with his sock on his hand.

We went to dinner at a famous dumpling restaurant and Dad ate a chicken's foot. The dumplings were fantastic, and the water was VERY cold, something we haven't had in a week.

Another restaurant, another mess for TY. He gets a LOT of food in his mouth, but because of his messes I wouldn't call him a 'good eater'. He really liked the dumplings and fried rice.

He fell asleep in the cab ride back to our hotel, but wasn't ready to go to bed. He was SO tired.

Terra Cotta Jeff.... our chief warrior

Our tired little warrior... I like the way Grandpa Ed is looking at Ty

Grandpa Ed

They are so cute together... even if Ty looks like he is going to fall asleep sitting up

Checking out his treats that are being swept up.... Dad and Ty both have their OSU shirts on

Dad saving the day with another treat.... Lily (mom Jr) noticed that Ty needs a baggie
(little ziploc bag) or tainer (container) for his treats

Dumplings

For all of you that like chicken.... some chicken Feet

Wow, I reading your posts backwards. It is so sweet to see Ty with his father and grandfather. The comments written from a dad's point of view. Very touching. I can't wait to read more on Ty discovering the rest of his family!
