Happy Chinese New Year

The year of the Ox....

Lily and Ty LOVE wearing their China clothes (as Lily calls them). The other day...... on one of our many arctic temperature days...... they had a little dress up and photo shoot... wearing their China clothes. They thought it was so much fun and kept their outfits on all morning.

I love all of their different facial expressions.... the following expressions are SOOOOO
Lily and Ty

Here is what Ty looks like when he doesn't get his way.... he was mad that I woudn't let him use MY camera......

Getting a little happier after I told him I would help him take a picture with mom's camera.
I love this picture, this little man, and his chubby cheeks so much.

Here is what Lily thought of that idea......
This is her very serious.... I think this is a bad idea expression....
These are the times when I swear she is almost 4 going on 40

This picture makes me think of when she was a little baby....

They were making angels on the floor..... hee hee
I couldn't help but take a picture... I wanted to freeze this moment forever.

Lily THE THINKER...... she is so silly and funny but can also be very serious and quite a little thinker.... She had no idea I was taking this picture...
This picture just melts my heart....she is my little beauty.
I love her BIG personality and her so much.

I gave them this fan to play with and they thought it was such a riot to hide behind it..

More of the littles

More December pictures.....

Their new thing to do... Lily says, "Ty is my hobby horse."
He thinks it is a riot. They also established that he is too heavy on her back.... SO no rides for Ty.

Checking out some presents (that weren't for them) in matching sweaters from Aunt Katie

Fun in the Sun

These pictures were taken in November....
It was such a beautiful and unusually warm (for November) day. The coats were newly purchased and ready for cold weather. They were so excited about their winter gear that they insisted on wearing them right then.
They just had the best time running around in their new winter gear.

We REALLY miss our days outside! Can't wait for warmer days and sunshine!!!!!!!

Angels and Shepherds

My camera sure was busy in December..... when I wasn't using mine I was using Jeff's camera... his camera fits nicely in my purse or pocket.

These photos are from our Sunday School Christmas program at church......

Lily and Ty were so excited to wear their costumes and to go on stage.
They practiced their lines for weeks (For unto us a child is born.. for unto us a son is given). Which they didn't end up saying on stage... they were busy fixing their costumes and looking for family members. Hee hee

They were talking about the program for days and just seemed so proud to be in it.

Hard to tell what Ty is thinking in this picture.....
Lily was not happy with him because he repeatedly pulled her halo off and eventually broke it. Thankfully mom was able to fix it and all was well.

Happy New Year

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season!

I wanted to start out the new year by saying thank you to all of our blog followers. Thank you for taking time out of your lives to follow ours. Thank you for your VERY kind comments. You make my day with your sweet words!!!!!!

We had a great Christmas and Happy New Year. Christmas was BUSY and by New Year we were all ready for some rest. I ended up with round 2 of whatever virus is going around and now Lily has it again. Therefore New Year's Eve was quiet around our house.

Now that it is 2009.......

We are looking forward to this new year and all the exciting things that are coming.

Just to let you know I am going to post Christmas pictures over the next week or so but for now here is a little news for you.....
I know that some of you already know this but many do not....
Jeff has been making a 2+ hours (each way) drive to work about 3 times a week. That puts him on the road 4.5-5 hours on those days.
We had a feeling a move towards his work would be inevitable but we always pictured it several years from now.
THEN.... In July, Jeff's parents moved into a new home. That left their older house empty. We started tossing around the idea of moving in that direction and even started to look at some houses. Nothing was feeling right and after praying about it... I woke one morning and the idea hit me..... the house he grew up in would be perfect. We wanted a lot with privacy, BIG trees, and space to play outside.
The more I thought about it the more I realized that their house had the rooms and everything we were looking for. We wanted to make it our own....SOOOO we have been remodeling the house since August and should be making a move in the next few months. (when I say we have been remodeling it I mean a builder)

We are REALLY excited. Lily and Ty will be growing up in the house that Jeff grew up in. They will play on the same swing set, go to the same school, and Ty will even have the same room that Jeff did.

It is bittersweet because most of my family and friends are where we currently live. So that is going to be an adjustment for sure. Thankfully it isn't too far away.

The next few months are going to get a little crazy with moving details, etc... but I will post as much as possible.....

SOOOOOOOOO sweet

Lily and Ty are so sweet with each other a lot of the time..........and then....... the next minute they are fighting like crazy... which is what happened just minutes after this tender moment was captured.
SOOO the reason Ty is kissing Lily......Ty accidentally hit Lily in the head, said he was sorry, she turned around to hug him, and he gave her a big smooch... So sweet.... I bet they will love this picture when they are teenagers..
