Ty one year anniversary

With our recent move we ended up celebrating Ty's one year Gotcha Anniversary a little late. We kept it pretty low key... Ty was ok with that... he had a great day!
Here is what he wanted for his celebration.....
*Banana Chocolate Chip Waffles for breakfast
*Make Funfetti cupcakes (the littles love these)
*Hot Dog (his favorite) for lunch
*Watch the show Super Why
*Have spaghetti for dinner

Grandma and Grandpa N. also came over to help us celebrate....... Ty mentioned a million times that day that Grandpa N. came to China with Dad to bring Ty home.

I also took a few pictures of Ty on his special day.... Ty LOVES to pose for pictures. Jeff figured out that Ty is getting some of his poses from looking at catalogs.
Here is how the whole photo shoot with Ty works.....
I take the picture
Ty looks at it on the camera
He either smiles in approval or turns his nose up and says Ty NO like this picture... take new one momma
At which point he will change his pose if he feels the need
Repeat the process.....

***Miss Lily hears this whole process and comments THIS IS RIDICULOUS..... she goes off to play with our cat Marshall***

Lily showing Ty how to do ballet moves..... Lily says... MOM THIS ISLAND IS GREAT FOR MAKING CUPCAKES AND DOING BALLET.....
She doesn't take ballet but really wants to....
Apparently you have to pull your pants up very high for her these moves.....
(mom grabbing camera quickly so I don't miss the dancers in action=bad lighting in this picture)
Their favorite cupcakes.... I suggested making a different variety (say some homemade variety... not out of the box) and they looked at me like I was crazy...

Ty and Grandpa drawing... something they did a lot of in China

The start of Ty's posing.....

Lily insisted he needed to wear these glasses and of course he agreed......

I love when I can actually get them together in a picture....

Sibling Love

This is from our moving day. Lily is telling Ty that she loves him so much! Please forgive my voice... I ended up losing it that day/weekend.... imagine how happy Jeff was about that.

Mission Completion

Lily loves that line from the show Little Einsteins.
That line reminds me of the feeling I had at the end of the day on March 13th... Our move day.

It has been a little over a week and we are feeling somewhat settled... boxes are still here and there .......some areas have more boxes but don't we have our whole lives to unpack? I say that to myself because it makes me feel better. hee hee

The move day went well and the littles did fabulous for such a long day. Mom and dad didn't do too bad either. Mr. Marshall (12 year old Persian) did wonderful as well. We woke up at the crack of dawn, got ready, ate a very unhealthy McD's breakfast, and then waited on the movers. The movers ended up being an hour and 1/2 late.
Lily, myself, and Mr. Marshall loaded into the mini van and headed 2.5 hours to the new house. Lily watched shows and played with everything in her purse.... she pointed out the fact that the mini van was too full and she was feeling crowded (bathroom stuff, bedding, etc).
Marshall travels without a carrier.... the idea of stuffing a very furry Marshall into a cat carrier is something I never want to repeat (I found out when he was a kitten that he travels best and happier without a carrier). He meowed for about 30 minutes, stood up in the car window like a dog, and then slept the rest of the way.

The boys stayed at the old house while the movers loaded all of our furniture and stuff....Ty played on his comwooter (computer), went to lunch, and watched the movers.

The afternoon brought the boys and the movers to the new house with all of our stuff.

The littles were in their beds by 9pm. (not too bad for moving day)
They were SOOO excited about their new rooms that are the same color as their old rooms.

I hope this is our last move for a VERY LONG time.....

Now that I am feeling a little (keyword being little) caught up I promise to post more soon.

In the meantime here are some photos from Jeff's camera.

The littles.... the finding of Halloween costumes while mom is packing.....

Waiting on movers

Still waiting on movers.....
Should you wonder... I am just kneeling behind Lily and Ty.... Lily however is riding her
pony boy....

Ty making sure the movers get everything...he wanted to ride in the big truck.

All loaded up... always nice to see your belongings piled on top of each other...

Our little passengers......

Well..... it is no mystery that our littles are growing up...
They have finally outgrown their car seats. Thankfully this growing up took place right around the same time. Good thing too because I can't even imagine how that would have gone over if one had a new seat and the other didn't.

At any rate... Jeff took these beauties out of the boxes the other night. The littles immediately took their positions and began to look through the manuals.
Lily wanted to make sure Dad did everything RIGHT. hee hee NOOO idea where she gets that from.

Needless to say... they think they are SUPER cool with their new seats and built in cup holders.

Ready to ride

And he is off.... Lily still reading....

A bit behind

As usual I am behind in my posts....

Our move is only 2 weeks away and we are super excited!!!!
BUT... we have A LOT to do.... mostly packing and getting rid of STUFF.
YIKES.... where did we ever get so much stuff?

I wanted to FINALLY post some Lily birthday pictures...

Hello Kitty Birthday....
Lily words... Mom I would love a Miss Kitty party like I had last year because it was so much fun.

Wearing her monkey outfit from my dear friend Robin at Red Thread Stitches
and hair pin (Lily's words) from Jenna... Lily loves hair pins that Jenna makes.

Look at all of that pink.... just some of the wonderfully sweet presents Lily received for her 4th.
Miss Lily you are 4 now.....

Will the world be the same?

Of course mom....

Well, let me think about that.....

TOO tired to think....
What are you doing Lily? Just taking a little break mom.
What are you thinking about Lily? I like my birthday party but I am really tired.
