Happy New Year

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season!

I wanted to start out the new year by saying thank you to all of our blog followers. Thank you for taking time out of your lives to follow ours. Thank you for your VERY kind comments. You make my day with your sweet words!!!!!!

We had a great Christmas and Happy New Year. Christmas was BUSY and by New Year we were all ready for some rest. I ended up with round 2 of whatever virus is going around and now Lily has it again. Therefore New Year's Eve was quiet around our house.

Now that it is 2009.......

We are looking forward to this new year and all the exciting things that are coming.

Just to let you know I am going to post Christmas pictures over the next week or so but for now here is a little news for you.....
I know that some of you already know this but many do not....
Jeff has been making a 2+ hours (each way) drive to work about 3 times a week. That puts him on the road 4.5-5 hours on those days.
We had a feeling a move towards his work would be inevitable but we always pictured it several years from now.
THEN.... In July, Jeff's parents moved into a new home. That left their older house empty. We started tossing around the idea of moving in that direction and even started to look at some houses. Nothing was feeling right and after praying about it... I woke one morning and the idea hit me..... the house he grew up in would be perfect. We wanted a lot with privacy, BIG trees, and space to play outside.
The more I thought about it the more I realized that their house had the rooms and everything we were looking for. We wanted to make it our own....SOOOO we have been remodeling the house since August and should be making a move in the next few months. (when I say we have been remodeling it I mean a builder)

We are REALLY excited. Lily and Ty will be growing up in the house that Jeff grew up in. They will play on the same swing set, go to the same school, and Ty will even have the same room that Jeff did.

It is bittersweet because most of my family and friends are where we currently live. So that is going to be an adjustment for sure. Thankfully it isn't too far away.

The next few months are going to get a little crazy with moving details, etc... but I will post as much as possible.....

SOOOOOOOOO sweet

Lily and Ty are so sweet with each other a lot of the time..........and then....... the next minute they are fighting like crazy... which is what happened just minutes after this tender moment was captured.
SOOO the reason Ty is kissing Lily......Ty accidentally hit Lily in the head, said he was sorry, she turned around to hug him, and he gave her a big smooch... So sweet.... I bet they will love this picture when they are teenagers..

I have to add that Mackenzie, or as Lily so lovingly calls her "Kenzie Baby", giggled like crazy when I showed her the pics of Ty and Lily. She keeps wanting to look at them.

the pic of the kids kissing, I think it's my fav. of all your shots thus far. Congrats on the move, what a great opportunity for you all! Think of the stories Jeff can pass on as he relives his own childhood! Sounds perfect, can't wait to see pics! Mel

p.s. I owe you a very long email, which I've been wanting to do for months, one of these days....

What, what great news for your new year!! I know it is hard to leave what is "comfortable" but what a blessing for Jeff to not have to be on the road so much! & how COOL that you are moving into his childhood home!!!!

Tiffany,
Great photos as always!
I have been by the house...it is looking great, really different from before. It's a great place for kids to grow up but will be an adjustment I am sure. Just remember Reed and I only live about 30 minutes away after you move! Would love to get together sometime.

What beautiful pictures as usual! Lil & Ty are so adorable and "the kiss" picture is beyond special. I'm going to miss you so much, but my heart is overflowing with happiness for you, Jeff, Lily & Ty. Here is a toast (water at work) to new memories, and 38 more years in your beautiful home. Love and hugs, Mom

Oh my goodness, that is just the sweetest of pictures. Look at him puckering. What a trooper she is not to have whacked him back even if it was an accident. I don't have the link to your "house remodel" blog anymore. I'd love to see how it's come along. That's very exciting. I hope you all get feeling better soon. We have had the same thing going around here; hence, the holiday cards just got mailed out today. I'm so bad... Happy New Year! Hugs to the kids and a big kiss to Lily from E!
