Lily and a Lily

I took these pictures on our Gotcha Day anniversary. It just so happened that Lily's Lily (from Papaw Russ) also bloomed on that day.

Miss Lily had her first kiss at 2 1/2 years old. OH MY

We had a play date with Emma and her new brother John the other day. He has been home from China for 2 weeks now.

I am not sure who is more of a flirt... Lily or John.
He blew her a kiss, she giggled, and hid her face.
Then as we are leaving she grabbed him and gave him one of her kissies goodbye.

We have a lot of little girls in our group so having a little boy in the group is going to be so much fun. He is such a cutie pie!!!! I had a hard time putting him down.

Cool girls..... Lily & Emma

Lily and Emma have been friends since we brought Lily home.
Emma's mom and I have been friends since Emma came home.
Her mom keeps me sane during the whole adoption process and in life.
What would we do without girlfriends?

Lily and Emma have very similar spunky personalities. They are a riot together. They are very sweet with each other one minute. Then the next minute they might not be so sweet.

Emma is 4 months older than Lily and Lily learns how to do a lot of things with Emma's help.

Lily use to think every picture of herself was Emma. Now she says it just to be funny.

I think these girls are going to be friends for a very long time.

I just took this on our Gotcha Day anniversary... it reminded me of this picture below that I took just a few weeks after Lily came home.

We can hardly believe it has been a year ago that the nanny was placing Lily in my arms.
It has been THE BEST year ever!!!!!!!

I thought it would be a cute little tradition to take a picture on each Gotcha Anniversary..... similar to the one taken of us above on Gotcha Day.
So, we set up the tripod.... which Lily always thinks is so much fun .. running back and forth to see if we got a good picture.
It is always entertaining to see all the funny pictures we get in the process.
(example: Lily covering her eye in one of the pictures below)

More cute glasses

As you all notice... Lily loves glasses. She misses no opportunity to wear them! She also loves her new sandals (see below).

HAPPY 4th of July

We had a great 4th of July! Lily loved all the little American flags that I bought. We put them everywhere. She even had little ones in her hair.

It is hard to believe that last year (at this time) we were packing our suitcases for China.

It is no secret that Lily loves glasses of any kind. This particular pair came on her Build A Bear from our friends Curt & Kathy. They gave her this cool bear (with a princess shirt, Sketchers, pony tail holders, shiny pink purse, and glasses) when she came home. She has always been obsessed with these glasses and everything on the bear.

This picture reminds me of the trendy girls we would see around China. They always had the cutest little glasses on.

I also noticed (in this picture) how much our little girl has grown.
